Forgetting Sarah Marshall

sarahmarshall Isn’t it nice to see a major studio comedy that is conventional, but actually good? Penned by a man who had an itch to show his crotch a bunch on screen (I suppose there is a lot to be proud of) Forgetting Sarah Marshall surprised all of us by being funny because it had a good story and developed characters. I know this doesn’t seem like a lot of ask, but most comedies in this school are a series of gross-out gags strung together by actors that go by a pseudonym for the duration of the film and happen to appear in the frame with their co-stars. Yes, folks, BananaWho loved this movie, much to our surprise. Screenwriter and star Jason Segel, is so pathetically heartbroken that it immediately makes us think of the time we got our hearts smashed into pieces by Sarah Marshall, and we discover that not only is Mila Kunis extremely beautiful when properly lit and made-up, but she actually has an acting range when not confined to her irritating Jackie/Meg pigeonhole the FOX network had her roped into. Can anyone say Dracula musical? –CH.
